Ford Mustang EcoBoost Gets Retro Upgrade Package With Bronze Wheels

Ford has a new TLD Signature Edition package for the 2026 Mustang EcoBoost.

It includes unique graphics, the GT front fascia and grille, and bronze accents.  The package costs $3,000.

The Mustang GT might be Ford’s performance offering, but the Blue Oval hasn’t forgotten about the entry-level EcoBoost offering. It launched the RTR Package for the four-cylinder Mustang last October, and now it is introducing a styling package.

It’s called the TLD Signature Edition, and it’s named after Troy Lee Designs, the famous helmet designer, who collaborated on the project with the Ford Design team. The package includes unique red, orange, purple, and yellow side graphics that integrate a running pony badge.

The Mustang, exclusively available in Shadow Black, features 19-inch Satin Bronze wheels, a Satin Bronze pony badge, and Satin Bronze nostrils. The package also includes colorful hood graphics. Inside, the Carmine Red interior features a serialized dashboard badge.

Ford is limiting production to 550 units. The TLD Signature Edition package will cost $3,000. The package is listed as available on the Mustang EcoBoost Premium that starts at $38,340, but it also requires the 201A equipment group for an extra $3,000, putting the car’s total price up to $44,340, including the $1,995 destination charge.

The order books are now open for the TLD, the RTR, and the broader Mustang lineup. You can begin ordering the Dark Horse SC in late April.

Why Retro Styling Packages Continue to Be Popular With Mustang Fans

Ford has a long history of offering appearance packages that celebrate the Mustang’s heritage, and this new EcoBoost retro package fits perfectly into that tradition. By combining modern performance with classic design cues, Ford continues to appeal to both younger buyers and longtime Mustang enthusiasts who appreciate the brand’s history.

The new package stands out primarily because of its distinctive styling elements, including bronze-colored wheels, unique graphics, and exclusive trim details. These types of visual upgrades help separate special edition Mustangs from standard models while giving buyers something that feels more personalized and collectible. Limited production numbers also add to the appeal, since rarity often plays a major role in long-term enthusiast value. Special editions like this are sometimes produced in runs as small as a few hundred units, increasing their desirability among collectors.

Another interesting aspect of this package is how it blends parts from higher-performance Mustang trims. Some versions incorporate styling elements inspired by Mustang GT models, such as upgraded front fascia designs and performance-inspired visual touches. This helps give the EcoBoost model a more aggressive appearance without changing its core turbocharged four-cylinder performance formula.

Ford has increasingly used these types of packages as a way to keep the Mustang lineup fresh without requiring major mechanical redesigns. Appearance packages allow the company to introduce new looks, celebrate Mustang culture, and keep interest high between major model updates. This strategy has proven successful across the Mustang lineup, with multiple styling packages offering different visual themes ranging from dark “Nite Pony” designs to heritage-inspired color treatments.

For buyers considering a Mustang EcoBoost, packages like this offer a way to stand out without stepping up to a V8 model. The EcoBoost already delivers strong performance for a turbocharged four-cylinder sports car, and adding unique styling gives owners a way to personalize their car while still maintaining daily drivability and efficiency.

As Ford continues to evolve the Mustang lineup, expect more special editions like this to appear. These limited packages not only celebrate Mustang history but also help keep America’s most famous pony car relevant in an increasingly competitive sports car market.
