Tips for install
- There’s 5 total 12mm hangers. Bare minimum you’re jacking up the rear of the car.
- You can remove the stock rubber hangers by hand, easy enough. The polyurethane Torque Solution hangers have less give, they’re stiff! Unbolt the entire length of the exhaust to make things easier. Trust me on this.
- Unbolt the downpipe to mid pipe (two 14-mm spring loaded bolts) & the mid-pipe to axle back (two 14-mm spring loaded bolts).
- Use lube if you have to. That’s what she said.
- Hand tighten bolts first as you reconnect the exhaust system.
- Once everything is fitted, do the final tighten of the four 14mm spring loaded bolts at both ends of the mid pipe. Start your car and make sure nothing is rubbing or rattling.
Hanger locations

Why replace worn exhaust hangers?
-
Annoying rattles & vibrations
Broken hangers let the exhaust swing and bang into the chassis, subframe, or heat shields—causing constant rattles that get louder over bumps and at idle. Fixing them instantly restores a quieter, tighter-feeling ride. -
Prevents expensive exhaust damage
When the exhaust isn’t properly supported, extra stress gets transferred to flanges, gaskets, welds, and even the catalytic converter. A cheap hanger fix can save you from cracked pipes or failed cats down the road. -
Safety & clearance issues
A sagging exhaust can hang too low, scrape speed bumps, or get dangerously close to fuel lines, brake lines, or the driveshaft. In worst cases, parts can drag or separate while driving—fixing the hangers keeps everything where it belongs.
